I’m Kaitlynne Vasquez, LMHC, PMH-C, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, and PDA Level 1 and 2 Trained by PDA North America. I support new and prospective parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children who look like they’re holding it all together on the outside but feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and are quietly unraveling on the inside.
My Story & Why I Do This Work
I am not only a therapist — I am also a survivor of postpartum anxiety and depression and the parent of a neurodivergent child. I’m open about my journey and how I’ve transformed my own pain into purpose, because lived experience has profoundly shaped the way I show up in this work.
Motherhood challenged me in ways I never expected. Between the identity shifts of the postpartum period and the emotional weight of supporting a neurodivergent child, I came to understand how chronic, invisible, and isolating these experiences can feel. I know what it’s like to feel helpless, hyper-vigilant, exhausted, and constantly advocating — while trying to stay regulated yourself.
Through these personal experiences, alongside my clinical work, I found a deeper sense of compassion, humility, and clarity about the work I was meant to do. I’ve walked this terrain in both roles — as a therapist and as a parent — and I hold a strong belief in healing and finding your way back to yourself even in the middle of uncertainty.
I live in Central Massachusetts with my husband, our two children, two cats, and two bunnies. When I’m not working, I recharge by moving my body, baking, going to the beach, reading, listening to podcasts, and attending live music whenever I can. I look forward to getting to know you!
