This kind of parenting asks more of you than most people will ever understand. When your child’s nervous system is always on high alert, yours never gets a break.

Therapy is a space:

  • You don’t have to explain or justify your parenting

  • Your experience matters independently of outcomes

Therapy is where you:

  • Learn to understand your nervous system

  • See how chronic stress shows up:

    • Irritability

    • Shutdown

    • Emotional numbness

    • Losing access to patience and creativity

  • Identify patterns of overextension

  • Process grief, anger, guilt, fear, and resentment (yes — all allowed!)

  • Reconnect with your own needs, limits, and identity

This work is not about doing more — it’s about doing things differently, starting with you.

You Will:

  1. Recognize early signs of burnout

  2. Learn what regulation looks like for you

  3. Shift out of survival mode

If you’re looking for someone to help you come up with new strategies for your PDA child, I may not be the right fit. Most parents I work with already know what to do — the missing piece is support for the emotional cost of doing it.

If you’re ready to focus on your well-being as part of the process, I invite you to reach out.
